Virtual therapy for adults in Oregon & Washington
The power to heal is always right there, inside you.
Every day, without a single conscious thought, your body performs a quiet miracle—keeping you alive. Beneath your awareness, it is continuously regulating, adapting, and responding to everything you encounter. And yet, we live in a culture that teaches us to distrust or override this system. Eating disorders can take hold and grow louder in that environment. But beneath the noise, there is a part of you that remains intact: steady, responsive, and wise.
Recovery isn’t about fighting yourself. It’s about turning down the noise and learning to listen differently—learning to listen to yourself again.
I’m Katherine.
I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders, with decades of experience spanning research, teaching, and clinical care. My work integrates evidence-based approaches with a deep respect for the body’s own life-promoting capacities.
If food, weight, or shape have begun to take up more emotional space in your life than you ever intended, you’re not alone.
I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals whose lives had become organized around an eating disorder, and supported them in making meaningful, lasting change. I would be honored to support you in that process—so that your time, energy, and attention can return to the parts of life that matter most to you.
Eating Disorders Affect People Across All Backgrounds and Bodies
Whatever your level of concern or severity, you deserve thoughtful, experienced care. I’ve likely worked with individuals in a place very similar to where you are now. These are some of the concerns I commonly work with:
Online Therapy
If an eating disorder has taken over your life—whether you're just beginning to recognize it or you've been struggling for years—I'm here to help. I offer specialized, evidence-based care and work with adults of all genders and ages, and across the full spectrum of eating disorders. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more stable, more flexible, and more at home in your own life. We'll help you build a path back to yourself.
Training & Speaking
Eating disorders are among the most serious mental health conditions—anorexia nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric diagnosis—yet many clinical and medical training programs offer limited depth in this area. I’m committed to helping close this gap.
I provide trainings, workshops, and invited talks for universities, healthcare systems, and professional organizations, with a focus on practical, evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment.
Consultation
Working with eating disorders can feel complex and uncertain—especially if it hasn’t been a central part of your training.
I regularly consult with clinicians and interdisciplinary teams working with eating disorders who are seeking additional support, perspective, or guidance. Drawing on decades of experience, I provide practical, collaborative consultation to help you navigate clinical questions with greater clarity and confidence.
Supervision
The world needs more clinicians who feel equipped and comfortable working with eating disorders. High-quality training in eating disorders is essential—and often hard to find.
If you're curious about learning how to provide clinical services to treat people with eating disorders, I'm eager to support you. I offer supervision for clinicians seeking to deepen their skills and confidence, with an emphasis on both clinical nuance and evidence-based care.
